History of the company

New York, in the late 1940’s. Robert Half is working as a recruiter for the accounting department of a major textile company. He notes that there is no recruitment company specialising in this particular field at the time. In March 1948 he therefore seizes his opportunity: under the name Robert Half Personnel Agency he sets up his own company.

The organisation – now known by the name Robert Half (NYSE: RHI) – has become the market leader in specialist recruitment. The company is a leading player in the field of professional recruitment and consultancy services. In addition, Robert Half is the parent company of Protiviti®, an independent enterprise specialising in internal audits and risk management.
